City of Bones Review

Hi!
The cover
Today I'm reviewing City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare. To tell the truth, the first time my friend recommended it to me I didn't want to read it- the description wasn't very appealing to me. Then when I did read it, I didn't finish it. I read like 3 chapters and stopped, it was too boring for me. A few months later, I finally decided to give it another chance. So I did, got through the boring start and I loved it! Here's what it's about:

Clary's a normal girl who lives in the city with her mysterious Mum. Then her whole world turns around when she witnesses the hottest guy in the club kill someone. More like something. She discover's this whole new world and her special ability. She finds out about her real past and goes on a mission to save her missing mum. It's all a bit lame, but it's a pretty exciting read.

Goods:
It was quite humorous, I can still crack up from some of the remarks in that book. The ending was very fast-paced (is that a good point?) and exciting. I don't really know what I loved about this book- I loved it, but now that I look back, I don't know why!

Bads:
This is a biggie for me- it was way too boring at the start. It took a while to actually become exciting, which I personally hate in any book. But I kept going since it was apparently "really good" (and it was). Another thing was that the ending was just too piled up. That's also not good- because I want to now exactly what happened, and sometimes I just can't concentrate when too much is going on! So, it was too slow in the first 2/3 and too fast-paced in the last third. But I still loved it!

Overall, it was a great read. I mean, heaps of bad points, as you can see above, but it was still fun to read. I liked the end result and couldn't wait to jump into the next book! I give it 6.7/10!

Happy reading :)
