City of Bones Review

Hi!
The cover
Today I'm reviewing City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare. To tell the truth, the first time my friend recommended it to me I didn't want to read it- the description wasn't very appealing to me. Then when I did read it, I didn't finish it. I read like 3 chapters and stopped, it was too boring for me. A few months later, I finally decided to give it another chance. So I did, got through the boring start and I loved it! Here's what it's about:

Clary's a normal girl who lives in the city with her mysterious Mum. Then her whole world turns around when she witnesses the hottest guy in the club kill someone. More like something. She discover's this whole new world and her special ability. She finds out about her real past and goes on a mission to save her missing mum. It's all a bit lame, but it's a pretty exciting read.

Goods:
It was quite humorous, I can still crack up from some of the remarks in that book. The ending was very fast-paced (is that a good point?) and exciting. I don't really know what I loved about this book- I loved it, but now that I look back, I don't know why!

Bads:
This is a biggie for me- it was way too boring at the start. It took a while to actually become exciting, which I personally hate in any book. But I kept going since it was apparently "really good" (and it was). Another thing was that the ending was just too piled up. That's also not good- because I want to now exactly what happened, and sometimes I just can't concentrate when too much is going on! So, it was too slow in the first 2/3 and too fast-paced in the last third. But I still loved it!

Overall, it was a great read. I mean, heaps of bad points, as you can see above, but it was still fun to read. I liked the end result and couldn't wait to jump into the next book! I give it 6.7/10!

Happy reading :)

Silence Review

What an amazingly beautiful cover!
Hello,
I've reviewed Hush Hush and Crescendo, so now I'm reviewing the third book in the Hush Hush series, Silence.
This one's mostly focused on the Nephilim war. Nora's memories of Patch are gone and Patch can't do much about it.

Goods:
Well, this book wasn't as good as the first two, which is quite disappointing with the amazingly beautiful cover. But that's a bad point, so I shouldn't complain just yet! Anyway, I liked the story in this book. It was very eventful and revealing.

Bads:
As I said earlier, it was a bit disappointing. I mean, it was an amazing book, but at Fitzpatrick's standards, it didn't cut it for me. It was very repetitive, since the readers already knew what was going on, it wasn't as exciting as the earlier books.

Just again because I love it <3
Overall, I loved this book, as I love this series, and I recommend it to all of you! I give it 8/10! :)

Happy reading!!

Crescendo

Hi guys,
The cover
I recently reviewed Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. It's one of my favourite books, so now I'm reviewing Crescendo, the second books in the series. So far I think it's the best book in the series, and here's why...

So this one's about Nora and Patch being together. Well, their relationship is in a rocky state, and something's going on between Marcie Millar (her arch enemy since, like, forever!) and her not-so-angelic guardian angel and boyfriend, Patch. She's fixed on finding answers to all her questions that for some reason, Patch won't answer. But finding answers isn't as easy as it seems, and Nora's life may very well be at stake.

Goods:
I just loved this book so much! Fitzpatrick has really blown me away by the hidden secrets she has plopped into this amazing story. This one really got me thinking about it at night! :)

Bads:
Not really any bad points at all! One let down (not an important one!) was probably the fact that I was infuriated by Patch's behaviour towards Nora, so I totally hated him, until of course, I found out the truth behind his actions. That's not a real bad point, but I simply hated hating (haha, lots of hate in that sentence) Dream Boy Patch.

Overall, I loved this book, and I definitely recommend this awesome series! I give it 9/10 :)

Happy Reading!

Rules Of Attraction Review

Hey there,
The Cover
I recently reviewed Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. Now I'm reviewing the sequel, Rules Of Attraction.
It's very similar to Perfect Chemistry. This time it's about Carlos Fuentes, Alex's younger brother. It's pretty much the same storyline- the bad boy (Carlos) and the good girl (Kiara) are from two completely different worlds, and they are brought together by Fate. Personally, I think it was a good read, but it wasn't as Perfect Chemistry. It didn't give me the same thrilling feeling I got whenever I got to a good part in Perfect Chemistry.

Goods:
I love the romance and the characters. It was a good read- something to read when you're bored.

Bads:
It was too much like the first book, Perfect Chemistry. The plot was pretty much the same, only the characters were different. And the storyline was a bit drag. Another thing was, just like in Perfect Chemistry, the ending was lame-o!

Overall, I enjoyed the read but it was all too similar to Perfect Chemistry!
I give it 7/10.

Happy Reading! :)

Hush Hush Review

Hey readers,
The amazing cover
I'm reviewing Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. My friend recommended it to me and told me it was a really good book, so I tried it out. That's when I got sucked into the world of fallen angels!

It's about an ordinary girl called Nora Grey, who falls in love with a mysterious guy named Patch Cipriano.
It's obvious that Patch is keeping something from her, but when she finds out the truth about his true identity, she ends up in a lot of trouble.

Goods:
When the secrets were revealed, I loved it how I was still shocked after a long time. I also enjoyed the romance between Patch and Nora.

Bads:
There weren't many bad points... I guess the storyline was a bit flat- don't get me wrong, it was an amazing book, but the plot didn't really keep me up at night (but I did stay up at night thinking about Patch!).

Overall, it was an amazing book and I really enjoyed it! I give it 9/10. I definitely recommend it!! :)

Happy reading! :)

Mockingjay Review

Hello!
The cover
Just reviewed Catching Fire, so I'm reviewing the final instalment of The Hunger Games Trilogy, Mockingjay!
This was personally my favourite book of the series! It was so good!

Goods:
I still can't get over this book! One particular event involving Peeta (I won't spoil it for others) made me want to cry and stab President Snow until he died (a bit extreme, right?). Anyway, the storyline wasn't as exciting as the other two books, but the events were just so vivid and relevant, if that makes any sense. I couldn't stop reading!

Bads:
The ending (the epilogue) was a bit disappointing. It didn't make me happy. It made me feel depressed, even though that was probably what Collins was aiming for. The last sentence was spectacular, though. :)

Overall, well, what can I say? This was a legendary trilogy with a legendary ending! I give Mockingjay 9.5/10! :)

Bye!

Catching Fire Review

Hey readers!
The cover
I just reviewed The Hunger Games, so now I'm reviewing Catching Fire, the second book in The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.
This time, after Peeta and Katniss have won the Hunger Games by outsmarting the Capitol, a rebellion is rising. That is not good for Katniss and all her loved ones! She's got to convince President Snow that She and Peeta are really in love. Then, the Quarter Quell is announced and Katniss and Peeta, along with the other existing victors, must go into the battle field once more. A series of unexpected events unfold and Katniss finds herself stuck in the middle of it all.

Goods:
I was not expecting what happens in Catching Fire. It was so fast-paced and exciting. Once again, I have to praise Collins for her wonderful sequel to The Hunger Games!

Bads:
Well, the thing that annoyed me this time was that Katniss had to figure it all out by herself. And most of the time she was thinking in the wrong direction. That's actually a good thing, now that I think about it. It kept you guessing. But it still nagged me.

Overall, this was even better than the previous book! I give it 9.95/10! I definitely recommend this series. You'll regret it if you don't!

Happy reading! :)

The Hunger Games

Hi!
Today I'm reviewing one of my favourite books, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins!
The cover
My friend was reading it and I asked her what it was about. She said, "There are these poor people and they have to compete in these games to get rich and stuff. You have to kill or be killed in these games." And I thought it was kind of weird but I decided to read it because it sounded interesting.
So I read The Hunger Games, and it was AMAZING! Gosh, it just blew me away! So here's how I summed it up:

Goods:
Well, the storyline was so creative! I definitely have to praise Suzanne Collins for her amazing work. It's frightening and just so real! The characters are really easy to grow onto. I especially loved Peeta Mellark. The ending was so exciting, I couldn't wait to read the next book!

Bads:
There aren't many bad points... There weren't enough love scenes I guess. I mean, any girl would fall for Gale, and Gale totally loved Katniss (you can tell). And after Peeta announced he loved Katniss, she was  turning the cold shoulder on him. But you can't blame Katniss, really. It's not a big point, but it still nagged me a bit.

Overall, this was an amazing book! I give it 8.75/10.  :)

Perfect Chemistry Review

Hey readers!
Today I'm gonna review Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles.
The cover
So when I first saw this book. I thought gaahh, this will be another lame story about "inevitable love" and stuff like that. But I read it anyway, since I like romance books. I read it and I really enjoyed it! There were some cheesy bits, but it was a interesting story line.

Storyline:  [doesn't contain spoilers]
This book is pretty much about the "bad boy" and the "good girl" falling in love.

Brittany is a perfect girl. Every girl wishes she could be Brittany. She's got a charming boyfriend and perfect looks. But Brittany's life isn't as perfect as it seems...

Alejandro "Alex" Fuentes is a gang boy. He's got a bad reputation, but he doesn't want it...

When Brittany and Alex are forced to be lab partners, Alex is dared by his gang friends to sleep with Brittany. He doesn't think of it much. But as they grow closer, their relationship becomes more serious and the dare doesn't seem as important anymore.

Goods:
I liked the characters personalities, you could really imagine what sort of people they were by reading the descriptions. I must admit, after reading the book, I couldn't stop thinking about Alex! :)

Bads:
The ending was a bit disappointing (the epilogue). I mean, it was kind of lame. There were also some boring parts that I just wanted to get over with so I could read the juicy parts.

Overall, this was a good book. I liked the storyline a lot and I would recommend it!
I give it 8/10. Can't wait for the sequel! :)
